Among the Honda CR-V’s many prime features, its high-tech amenities make the overall driving experience better, more comfortable, and more convenient.

  • Drivers and passengers will enjoy amenities like a power tailgate, which comes standard in the Touring trim and provides easy, hands-free access to the CR-V’s 70.9 cubic feet of cargo room.
  • A 7-inch Display Audio electrostatic touchscreen with high-resolution WVGA comes standard in the EX, EX-L, and Touring models, making it easier than ever to access music, podcasts, and more to make your trip more entertaining. For tips on using this feature, see the accompanying video.
  • A HomeLink Remote System comes standard in the CR-V Touring model and can be synced up with remote-controlled devices in and around the driver’s home, such as garage doors, lighting, and home security systems.
  • The CR-V further features a standard SMS text message function that allows drivers to conveniently and safely send and receive messages from a connected phone.
  • Bluetooth HandsFreeLink is another standard feature in the CR-V trims, enabling drivers to make and receive phone calls while safely keeping their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel.
  • An auto-dimming rearview mirror comes standard in the EX-L and Touring trims, dimming instantly in the glare of another vehicle’s high beams to spare the driver from being blinded by the bright lights and from having to fiddle with the mirror to dim it manually.

High-tech Entertainment

Drivers and passengers will also find various technology features that are designed to enhance in-vehicle entertainment in the CR-V.

  • HondaLink Next Generation comes standard in the CR-V EX, EX-L, and Touring trims, connecting drivers and passengers to a variety of online content. This application-based platform includes four downloadable apps that enable access to Aha content, 3D navigation, HondaLink Traffic, local weather reports, restaurant recommendations, and more.
  • Honda’s satellite-linked navigation system is also available in the CR-V EX-L trim and comes standard in the Touring model, featuring voice recognition, HD Radio, and Honda HD Digital Traffic.
  • The CR-V’s three audio system options are each enhanced by standard amenities that include Bluetooth Streaming Audio, Pandora compatibility, MP3 and Windows Media Audio playback capability, a radio data system, and speed-sensitive volume control. A USB audio interface comes standard in the LX and SE models, while the EX, EX-L, and Touring trims offer two USB audio interfaces. The EX, EX-L, and Touring trims each additionally offers SiriusXM Radio as a standard feature.

  • A multi-angle rearview camera comes standard in the CR-V, giving drivers a clearer picture of what is behind them, featuring three different viewing angles to help ensure the coast is clear before backing up.
  • Vehicle stability assist with traction control also comes standard, helping to brake individual wheels and/or lessen engine power when oversteer or understeer occur.
  • SmartVent front side airbags are another standard amenity found in the CR-V. This smart airbag system utilizes speed and seat sensors to adjust airbag deployment—or shut off the airbags altogether—depending on the size of the passenger sitting in the seat.
  • A Collision Mitigation Braking System is offered as an available feature, fully braking the vehicle if an impending accident is detected and the driver does not respond quickly enough to an audible warning.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control is another available feature, automatically adjusting vehicle speed in cruise control mode to maintain a safe distance between the CR-V and other vehicles.
  • Honda LaneWatch comes standard in the EX, EX-L, and Touring trims. This feature uses a camera that is integrated into the passenger-side exterior mirror, giving the driver a clear view of what’s in the adjacent lane prior to right turns and lane changes.
