Introducing the Restyled 2020 CR-V and All-New CR-V Hybrid

The CR-V is getting restyled for 2020 and, for the first time ever, Honda’s award-winning crossover SUV will also be available as a hybrid. Both models come standard with the confidence of Honda Sensing, plus all the versatility and innovation you’ve come to expect from the CR-V.

Honda’s First Hybrid-Electric SUV

The first-generation CR-V arrived in 1997 as one of the first of a new breed of crossovers before the word even existed. Fast forward to 2019 and it’s the outright best-selling crossover in America over the past 22 years.

Honda continues to blaze new trails within the automotive industry with its restyled 2020 CR-V, now available as a hybrid vehicle (arriving early next year). The 2020 CR-V Hybrid promises outstanding performance, enhanced styling and available, advanced connectivity—making this CUV truly stand out from the pack.

Made in America

Honda offering the CR-V as a hybrid is great news. What’s even better? The new CR-V Hybrid for the U.S. market will be built exclusively at Honda Manufacturing of Indiana. Honda is investing an additional $4.2 million and creating 34 new jobs to support production of the CR-V Hybrid in Indiana with production starting early next year.

With a similar concept as the Accord Hybrid, the powertrain features a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle engine operating primarily as an electric generator with two motors, a generator motor and a 181-horsepower drive motor. Peak system output is 212 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque, and every 2020 CR-V Hybrid will come standard equipped with all-wheel drive.

Cleverly Packaged

The 2020 CR-V Hybrid provides the same, great utility as the gasoline model with 75.8 cubic feet of volume* and up to 105.9 cubic feet of cargo space* because the batteries are packaged beneath the rear flooring. Honda has also redesigned the CR-V’s center console, repositioning the USB ports for additional storage.
